Soo Do Guk San Moon Village Museum is first class pre-modern living history museum with theme of moon villege citizens way of living who lived in poverty in 1960~70s. It opened its door on October 25th, 2005 with gross area dimension of 1,950.85㎡ with one basement floor and one upper floor it is located in 163 Song Hyun Dong, Dong Gu in Song Hyun Neighborhood Park. It will bring nostalgic memories to existing generations and educational chapter for comtemporary generations to understand existing generations.
For the natives of In Cheon, Soo Do Guk San Moon village is like a home. For those who lived in In Cheon more than 3 generations will remind them of 'Moon Village' when they mention 'Soo Do Guk San'. Moon villages are the by products of city industrialization and still around near metropolitan cities throughout the country, Soo Do Guk San Moon Village has extra long history and origin.
At Dong Gu district office in In-Cheon, we built museum at the site of old moon village hoping to bring back the lives of Soo Do Guk San moon village which are fading away behind history. It was an exceptional event for nation's museum history that ordinary lives and daily affairs of citizens who lived in poverty became the main theme.
