Gang Ryung Mask Dance is preferentially renowned in Whang Hae province along with Bong San mask dance which represents plain ground of inland Whang Joo, Seo Heung and Bong San and Hae Joo mask dance type which represents coastal ground such as Hae Joo, Ong Jin and Gang Ryoung.

The contents of this exorcism is that the female shaman is singing about founding of a country in traditional ballad where Harvest God came to earth with commend from the Lord of Heaven and created human beings and country of Cho Sun.
